A filmmaker and USC MFA graduate was a finalist in the 2019 Easterseals Disability FIlm Challenge. As a finalist she was invited to attend a special workshop put on by the Sundance Institute for all finalists. The workshop encouraged our participants to apply to the Sundance labs and let them know about all the grants and fellowships offered by Sundance and their partners. Shaina has continued to stay in touch with the Sundance Institute and was just awarded the SFFILM and Rainin foundations grant for filmmakers with disabilities. Shaina will use this grant towards a feature film that is in pre production. production.
